Re: 2014-2015 programs
reminder: Javier FERNANDEZ
– short program or gala or both: Black Betty (Ram Jam): it feels good when it stops, but Javier interpreted this hard rock choreography very well with energy, body language inspired by
http music : //www.youtube.com/watch? v = vELBcJEu… e & hd = 1

– free program: Barber of Seville (Rossini): that promises something earthy!
it’s a comic opera, so we will have a surely funny scenario.
For the record, ODA has already skated on Rossini: this year on the Opening of Guillaume Tell; in 2005-2006 he skated the two programs on the theme of Figaro: the short on the Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini and the free on The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart. The choreographies were interesting. The Barber of Seville will perhaps be better developed in a free program, the short of Oda: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctMhPiZdRBk

Re: 2014-2015 programs
BAZAROVA / DEPUTAT
short program on My Way
a very classic version, the program is only a rough outline for the moment, bad synchronization, goodbye the cascades in the time of Larionov … the couple has just formed, trained by Vassiliev, everything should improve over time, the lines are beautiful, with fine silhouettes

free program: Adios Nonino (Piazzola)
a choreography on this tango, if subtle, would enhance their elegance

Re: 2014-2015 programs
Ivan RIGHINI
– free program:
“My Way” + “LOVE” + “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” (chor. By Zhulin)
– What is the version of the famous My Way? I like the presence of the voice in Franck Sinatra rather than the watered-down version chosen by Barazova / Deputat.
– LOVE by Nat King Cole, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JErVP6xLZwg
another crooner voice!
– for the 3rd segment, our minds met as I mentioned the group Four Seasons which created the song http://www.brian-joubert.com/Forum/view… 156802 # 139 it is true that the film by C Eastwood was released recently.
the version by Four Seasons seems to me the best and in the style of the other two songshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGFToiLtXro
The Muse version gives an impression of exhaustion.
A good orchestral version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUNxReam0LY
I hope that Zhulin remained, in a search for unity, in the style of interpretation from the 1960s and 1970s, very musical and dancing . Maybe a mix of orchestral music and songs

Alex JOHNSON
p. Short: Rachmaninoff: Trio elegiac Ne 2 (choreography Catarina Lindgren)
p. Free: Sondheim: Sweeney Todd (choreography Tom Dickson)
classic programs usually with this skater, but I can’t imagine a choreography on S.Todd without marks of darkness and madness, there is enough to do!

Re: 2014-2015 programs
the whole of Hanyu’s short program
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4B9SMuelCOk
He skates with application, but he has time to integrate it, it’s an ambitious technical program. Putting a quad in combination in the 2nd part of the program will score. A sentimental, elegiac Chopin highlights his fluid, fragile appearance, and his unique technique in small steps, which he gathers in the passage of this Ballade No. 1 just as virtuoso on the piano.
soothing in the tension of the work. The initial theme announces one last time “sotto voce” in a climate of pathetic passion, and is linked “Presto con fuoco” with the tumultuous Coda. A series of painful and heartbreaking scales crosses the keyboard, to fall back on three plaintive chords, and a reminder of the first theme.
Everything accelerates, in the last bars, and ends with two long chords.) His ballad nr 4 is perhaps even more interesting.

A transition period, psychological problems, then an ankle injury in March at the final of the Russian Cup. Resumption of training after 3 months of stopping. Currently at Alexei Mishin training camp in Pinzolo, Italy, where she is working on her programs for the new season. For the moment, one of them is ready, and next week the work will be on the other. PLUSHENKO
Although he will not participate in top international competitions, was present like Fernandez and Hanyu at Dream on ice 2014 in Japan, and he too presented his short program, usual recipe:
https://www.youtube.com/watch ? feature = p… wE0ttZCXT4
For an operated patient of the spine, rather stiff back, he is doing very well.

Re: 2014-2015 programs
about the short programs of FERNANDEZ and HANYU:

Some prefer the musical choice of the short program of Fernandez, easier choice, hard rock having produced some good musical pieces. Hear it on the ice from time to time can be nice. It is more difficult to convey the inner emotion of Chopin, especially when the skater is at the stage of assimilating his program.

Brian Orser takes into account, it seems, the personality of his students: Javier is exuberant, more mature, Yuzuru seems to be the opposite. Javier therefore plays in a different register. Personally, I like both styles! There is consultation between coach and student on the choice of music and choreographer. Yet both have the same choreographer: David Wilson, plus Jeffrey Buttle for Hanyu. Patrick Chan, who had skated at Bompard on a magnificent Elegie (Rachmaninov) and on Vivaldi + Corelli, used these two choreographers!

I would see HANYU as a Little Prince (like his Romeo), but like in the theater or in the cinema, it would also be interesting to find him a counter-employment theme, a role of composition where he is forced to force his interpretation.
But considering the youthful and stylized look of Hanyu, why not use this kind of “manga” music

Jason BROWN
talks about his two programs choreographed by R.Ward:
http://web.icenetwork.com/news/2014/07/03/82717466
change style, and two programs of different styles blues harmonica jazz, Little Walter’s ” Juke “and the serious and dramatic theatrical drama of” Tristan et Iseult “by Maxime Rodriguez. “I’ve never really had a program that tells a story, and it’s very theatrical and dramatic. Tapping into another aspect of myself that I’ve never explored before is such a challenge, but I Rohene never wants to put me at ease in the style I do, but to take what I learned in the previous style and work in the next. ”
